What is Bravo for Oceans and how does it work?

At BravoCoupon.com.sg, we believe that even small actions can make a meaningful difference. That’s why, in 2022, we launched the Bravo for Oceans initiative, our contribution to protecting and preserving the planet.

Through this project, we committed to funding the recovery of at least 5,500 lbs of marine waste, including plastic and other materials, collected by local fishermen in different parts of the world. For 2026, we are proud to renew this important initiative, once again aiming to reach the same ambitious goal.

This impact is made possible thanks to Ogyre, an international startup that works alongside local fishing communities to remove marine litter in Italy, Indonesia, and Brazil. Beyond protecting the oceans, Ogyre also supports the livelihoods of communities most affected by the degradation of marine ecosystems, providing them with a valuable source of income. With its proven experience and global reach, Ogyre is the ideal partner to help us achieve our mission.

Earth Day

Earth Day was established in 1989 following a proposal by peace activist John McConnell during a UNESCO conference in San Francisco. Celebrated every year on April 22, it serves as a global reminder of the importance of environmental balance and sustainability, while drawing attention to critical threats such as pollution, resource depletion, and ecosystem destruction.

World Environment Day

Celebrated annually on June 5 since 1974, World Environment Day is a United Nations initiative aimed at raising awareness about environmental protection and the close relationship between humanity and nature.
This year’s theme focuses on plastic pollution: over 400 million tons of plastic are produced each year, half of which is single-use. An estimated 19–23 million tons end up in rivers, lakes, and oceans, causing severe and often irreversible damage to marine ecosystems. Now more than ever, protecting our environment is essential.

World Oceans Day

Covering more than 70% of the Earth’s surface and hosting 80% of global biodiversity, oceans also generate over 50% of the oxygen in our atmosphere. Their health is vital to life on our planet.
Held every year on June 8, World Oceans Day celebrates the beauty and richness of our seas while highlighting the shared responsibility of institutions, businesses, and individuals to protect them.

World Cleanup Day

World Cleanup Day began in 2008 in Estonia, when entrepreneur Rainer Nõlvak mobilized 4% of the population to remove 10,000 tons of waste in just a few hours. The movement expanded rapidly across Europe and beyond, becoming an official global event in 2018, led by the NGO Let’s Do It! World.
Today, it takes place annually on the third weekend of September, bringing together millions of volunteers worldwide to combat abandoned waste and demonstrate that environmental action can create real change.
